ESPR by Product Group

Last updated · 2026-06-08

ESPR is a framework law: its binding rules arrive one product group at a time, through delegated acts adopted over the 2025-2030 Working Plan. Each group below has its own expected timing, its own likely requirements and its own data to start gathering. Pick a group for a plain-English guide to what is firm, what is still expected and what to do now. First ESPR Working Plan (2025-2030)

TL;DR

  • The first Working Plan (adopted 16 April 2025) names six priority groups: textiles, furniture, mattresses, tyres, iron and steel, and aluminium.
  • The Battery Passport is the first live Digital Product Passport, mandatory from 18 February 2027 - the one firm near-term date.
  • Every other product DPP and threshold here is expected or indicative, not yet adopted. We flag firm versus expected throughout.
